The Habitat Crew At the Stark & Carroll County affiliate of Habitat for Humanity there is a group of dedicated volunteers called the “Habitat Crew.” They are the heart and soul of our ministry. In addition to working on Habitat construction sites during the week, many serve as crew and site leaders for our Saturday volunteer groups. These faithful servants commit their time and talents to eliminate poverty housing and build new lives for God’s people. They make a difference!
Something wonderful happens when word and deed come together. Helping people become homeowners, taking pride in the work they do and giving neighborhoods new hope is a routine part of the work day for these men and women. There’s no pressure when you become part of the Habitat Crew. Give as much time as you like. Volunteers simply call or e-mail on Tuesday afternoon if they are available to work that week. The day begins about 8:00 a.m., is filled with great fellowship, laughter and a chance to learn new skills and ends about 3:00 p.m. If you would like more information about becoming part of the Habitat Crew please email Joanne Callas or call her at 330-493-6500. We welcome all skill levels and would love to talk to you!
