Samuel Salsbury, APLD is the President and driving force behind Salsbury-Schweyer, Inc, a nationally acclaimed, Ohio based landscape design & development group. Samuel had over twenty years of experience as a builder, designer, and developer before turning his interests to the landscape in 1992. Educated in classical music and an artist in many mediums, he has a talent for working with line and space, and an engineering mind that enables him to realize his visions. The spiritual and healing aspects of the landscape have long been of interest to Samuel. His travels have taken him to many parts of the world, where the gardens of England, Italy, Japan and India, in particular, have been an inspiration.

Samuel is a certified landscape designer through the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). He spent nine years on the APLD International Board of Directors and served as its president in 2008. Samuel is also a certified Permaculture consultant.

Sabrena Schweyer, APLD - Salsbury-Schweyer, Inc
Sabrena Schweyer, APLD is a landscape designer, teacher and lecturer known for her knowledge of perennials, natural landscapes, English and European garden design. She has over twenty years experience in a variety of horticultural environments, including the gardens of England's National Trust. Formal studies in England awakened her to the concept of the garden as an art form. She graduated with honors from Ohio State University and Kent State University, where her studies included agriculture, horticulture, history and the arts. Ms. Schweyer has traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States studying plants and garden design. Vice President of Salsbury-Schweyer, Inc, Sabrena is a certified landscape designer through the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) and a certified permaculture consultant. Her talent for using an ever-increasing palette of plants enables her to "paint" the landscape into a personal and sensitive work of art.

Joseph C. Knott - Salsbury-Schweyer, Inc
Joseph Knott is a recent architectural graduate of Kent State University who has joined Salsbury-Schweyer, Inc as an associate draftsman & designer. He has always had a passion for all aspects of technology, art, and design as well as a special interest in sustainable practices. His involvement with the project included assisting with LEED documentation and the production of construction documents, in addition to working on the landscape design.

Holly Todd, Green Building Specialist - Habitat for Humanity of Ohio
Holly is a certified Green Rater for LEED for Homes, a HERS rater, an NAHB Green Verifier and a BPI Analyst. She has inspected and rated over 500 homes, in 5 states.

Cheryl Ward, Vice President New Media Sales - Creative Technology
Cheryl is a retired executive of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co, who's developed a passion at Creative Technology of helping for-profits and not-for-profits tell their unique stories with creative video, animation, and post-production effects and editing. She is also a board member of the Akron/Canton affiliate of Sales & Marketing Executives International, a board member of the Stow-Munroe Falls Economic Development Council, a board member of Elves & More of NE Ohio, and an avid community supporter for the American Red Cross, The GriefCare Place, United Way, Heart to Heart Communications, and Hiram College alumni.

Daniel E. Linger, BS, NATE Certified, HVAC, energy consultant - Perfect Comfort Heating & Cooling, Ohio Energy Solutions
Dan is an HVAC contractor with NATE Certification (North American Technician Excellence). He has over 17 years of experience in all areas of the Heating and Cooling industry, from sales and management, to consulting, repairs, and installation. For the past two years Dan has been serving the Green, Jackson, Northwest, and Canton communities as a "green, environmentally friendly" hearing, cooling, and energy efficiency expert. Currently he is an energy consultant for Ohio Energy Solutions, Inc. and Lead Technician for Perfect Comfort Heating and Cooling. His company received American Standard's "High Efficiency Sales Leader" award for 2009 and led the way over in promoting energy efficient equipment sales for Stark and Summit County in its second year of business. Dan has also teamed up with Stark County Community Action to assist low income housig residents in improving the environmental efficiency of their heating and cooling equipment.

Hallie M. Bowie, Architect and Certified Green Professional - New Leaf Home Design
Hallie has been the owner of New Leaf Home Design for four years. Prior to that, she was a partner at Architectural Options, Inc., and has specialized in the design of home additions and renovations for over 16 years. Hallie as volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity of Summit County, is on the Home Builder's Association of Portage and Summit Counties 2010 Board of Trustee, is a founding board member of the HBA's Professional Remodelers Council, and serves on the Summit County Building Department's Green Committee. As a member of the Habitat Grows Green planning team, Hallie has been a part of making decisions about the home foundation, wall, and roof systems and the resulting insulation values and durability. She has also been responsible for organizing the notes and specifications for the project. In addition to her professional volunteer activities, Hallie has been active in the Firestone High School Instrumental Music Association and the PTA's of both Litchfield Middle School and Fairlawn Elementary School. She is a member of the choir at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron, and sings with the local folk-rock trio "Sand Run".

Jeff Roberts PE, CHMM, LEED AP, Sustainability Consultant & Interior Designer - Inspiring Spaces
Jeff is an environmental engineer with over 15 years of pollution prevention experience. He has automobile, utility, steel, healthcare and airline. These programs use teh Eliminate, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle paradigm for all waste streams to drive pollution prevention.

Josh Gaub, CHMM, Environmental, Health & Safety Analyst - The Timken Company
Josh has worked within the Timken Company's Corporate Environmental Affairs department for five years. He is primarily responsible for overseeing compliance and ISO 14001 auditing of the company's 50+ facilities worldwide. He is currently serving as Vice President of the Northeast Ohio Chapter of Hazardous Materials Managers (NEOCHMM).

Kimberly W. Babcock, LEED AP, Sustainability Consultant & Interior Designer - Inspiring Spaces
Inspiring Spaces was developed out of Kimberly's passion for beautiful, functional and sustainable design. She has expanded the business to include affordable sustainability consulting for small to medium-sized businesses after achieving LEED AP accreditation as well as Green Auditor Certification.

Melinda Smith, AIA, LEED AP - Sol Harris/Day Architecture
Melinda is an Architect/Project Manager with Sol Harris/Day Architecture, and a LEED AP coordinating all of the firm's LEED projects. She is personally committed to sustainable design and has enjoed renewing her involvement with Habitat on this project, and helping with the home design and drawings.

Nina Gordon Crain, owner - Robin Group Ideation, SunnySuppers
Nina is the owner of Robin Group Ideation, a company focused on helping business leaders name companies, design logos, websites, direct mail, advertising, invites, posters, etc. Through her 3-hour brainstorming sessions, Nina works with companies and organizations to gain consensus on a creative design direction for their marketing materials. Thumbnail sketches are generated on-the-spot with her clients in this out-of-the-box process in the world of graphic design. Nina also owns SunnySuppers, preparing and delivering savory suppers for new moms, the bereaved, the sick, and the elderly. With a heart ofor non-profits, Nina was responsible for the name and logo for the LEED project - "Habitat Grows Green."

Ralph "Corky" Kilgore, President - RC Kilgore Company
Corky is a Home Performance Contractor, serving as a Home Energy Rater, Green Building verifier, NAHB green building verifier, LEED for Homes green verifier, and EPA indoor plus verifier. He is also Resnet and BPI certified. His company is currently doing the Energy Star inspections and qualifications for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Stark & Carroll Counties.

Stephanie Smith, AIA, LEED AP - GreenBuilding Consultant, Sustainability Coordinator
Stefanie is an architect with over 10 years of experience in Northeast Ohio. For the past four years, she lived in China and worked as a green building consultant for multinational firms in Shanghai and Beijing. Currently she is working with Stark State College of Technology to promote environmentally sound development and management practices campus wide and to incorporate sustainability across the curriculum.
