Would you like to own your own home?

Habitat for Humanity does not provide hand-outs. We are a way for families who can't afford a conventional loan to get a home... and then work for it.

Families help pay for their homes by doing the following:

- Provide sweat equity by helping build Habitat houses for other families and then themselves.
- Attend homeownership training on topics such as budgeting, maintenance and home repair.
- Pay a small down payment of approximately 1% of the home price.
- Pay a monthly mortgage payment to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Stark & Carroll Counties, Inc. The mortgage is a 20 to 30-year note with no interest charged.
